Re-Entry Team Update

Dear Saint Andrew Community:

In response to the recent changes in the CDC guidelines, facial coverings are required when in the buildings on the Saint Andrew Campus. This will go into effect immediately.

As we continue to navigate these changing waters, continue social distancing and the washing of hands.

We trust in our God who is faithful and walking with us.

If you have any concerns, reach out to Pastor Kari or any member of the reentry team. In God’s amazing hope and grace –

Re-Entry Team Update, June 2021

Dear Saint Andrew Family – Thank you to each of you for your faithfulness, patience, care and love that you have shown to each other. We have loved our neighbors well and will continue to love each other and the most vulnerable among us. As we walk with a new hope with case numbers low and many folks receiving the vaccine the Re-entry Team moves us forward with the following effective immediately:

• Face coverings will be optional for those attending worship and any function at church.
• There will be no group size limitations for worship, funerals, or weddings.
• Face coverings and social distancing are encouraged for all in person services and gatherings for those who have not been vaccinated.

May we walk together surrounded and sustained by God’s amazing grace and love and hope!

In God’s peace – The Re-entry team.

The Council met via zoom on Monday, October 12 at 7:00 p.m. Conversation was held about the possibility of a congregational meeting in December to approve the mission plan for 2021. The Nominating Committee will begin their work to fill the spots on council. Those names will be brought forward at the December congregational meeting. More information about the December meeting to come.

September Re-Entry Team Update/Safety Protocols

Drive-In Worship:
Here are a few things for you to know about the service and the safety protocols:
1. The worship service will be 25 – 30 minutes long.
2. Please arrive early so that you can make sure you are able to get the service on your radio or on your cell phone. Instructions are printed on the bulletin.
3. As you enter the parking lot you will be given a baggie with the communion elements and bulletin for the day.
4. Each car will be shown where to park.
5. Communion will be a part of the service.
6. We ask that everyone remain in their car for the service, including both before and after the service.
7. The “normal” on-line service (on YouTube) will be made available as usual at noon on Saturday.
8. The church building will not be open during the service. If a bathroom is absolutely needed, please enter the building from the south side, just past the gate to the playground, and then exit the same way. Be sure to wear a mask while walking through the parking lot and while in the restroom area.
9. When it is time to leave each car will be directed individually so please wait for directions to try and help avoid any accidents.

Please stay home if any one of these apply:
• You or anyone in your family is running a fever with a temperature of 100.4 or more;
• You are experiencing any symptoms such as: headache, runny nose, cough, sore throat, diarrhea/vomiting, loss of taste or smell, shortness of breath, and/ or body aches;
• Anyone in your home is sick or experiencing any of the above symptoms;
• You have been exposed to the Corona virus in the last 14 days and have not had a test confirming that you are not carrying the virus.

Instructions for connecting to the audio for the service:

FM Radio

The FM transmitter that we are using is currently set for 91.9. Check for last minute changes to this frequency when you arrive. Turn your car radio, or any other FM radio, to this frequency once you park.

Android/iPhone APP - WiFi Connection
* Install AudioFetch on your mobile device, before you arrive at the church. It is available from both the Google Play Store and the Apple iPhone Store.
* When you arrive at church, put your device in airplane mode. Make sure you know how to do this.
* From your WiFi settings, select the AudioFetch_5_StAndrew if you see it, or AudioFetch_24_StAndrew. Make sure you know how to do this.
* Once the app finds the WiFi device, it should immediately connect to Channel 1.
* You may need to go into the settings and select Music Mode for the Listening Mode for the best audio.
* Make sure the volume isn't muted if you can't pick up any audio.
* If you are using Bluetooth headphones, you will need to re-enable Bluetooth.
* You will NOT be connected to the internet while you are connected to AudioFetch

Individual Prayer in the Sanctuary:
One of the ways that we connect with God is through prayer. One of the places we connect with God is the sanctuary at church. With those thoughts in mind we will be opening the sanctuary on Thursday afternoons for two hours for individual prayer time.

The individual prayer time is not a service. This is an opportunity for you to spend time in prayer, reflection and renewal in our sanctuary. During this time there will be no more than four people in the sanctuary at one time. You are encouraged to bring your own Bible and/or devotional material, as the sanctuary Bibles have been removed. Pastor Kari will greet you when you arrive and will be available to pray with you while keeping a safe physical distance.

The individual prayer time will be held on Thursdays afternoons from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.

Those who would like this opportunity are asked to abide with the following safety protocols:
   - Sign up is strongly requested. People that sign up will be given priority. Sign up by e-mailing [email protected] or [email protected]
   - You may also just show up. The maximum in the sanctuary at one time is four. This is four individual people not four family units.
   - Enter the building the through the main doors on the west.
   - Exit the building by the back door that goes by Pastor Kari’s office and the Music Office.
   - Wear a facemask while in the building. There will be facemasks available as you enter church.
   - Physical distancing must be maintained while entering the church, in the sanctuary and exiting the church. Stay at least six to ten feet apart and turn your head away from people as you pass.
   - You will sit in a pew that will be assigned to you during the time you are in the sanctuary.
   - Wipes or Lysol spray will be available for you to sanitize your area
   - Pastor Kari will keep track of who has come to individual prayer time each week.

Please stay home if any one of these apply:

·         You or anyone in your family is running a fever with a temperature of 100.4 or more;
·         You are experiencing any symptoms such as: headache, runny nose, cough, sore throat, diarrhea/vomiting, loss of taste or smell, shortness of breath, and/ or body aches;
·         Anyone in your home is sick;
·         You have been exposed to the Corona virus in the last 14 days and have not had a test confirming that you are not carrying the virus.

Small Group Gatherings of 6 People
As we continue to navigate the waters of COVID-19, there may be a need to have small gatherings in our building for a variety of reason. As we open our building for these types of gatherings we ask all involved to abide by the following safety protocols.

Any gatherings/meetings will be restricted to six or fewer people, and will be allowed only in Lange Hall.

During this time we ask that you talk with Pastor Kari about any desire to have a small group gathering of six or fewer people at church. This is to make sure there is not over-lap, track who is using the building in case someone gets sick and help with scheduling of cleaning before and after meetings.
   - No more than six people
   - All gatherings will happen in Lange Hall.
   - Lange Hall will be set up so that the group knows which tables to meet at.
   - Everyone must wear a facemask while in the building, including during the entire time of the gathering. There be facemasks and sanitizing materials available for you to use.    - A sign-in sheet will be provided and a member of the group will be asked to write down each person in attendance and give that sheet to Pastor Kari or slide it under her door.
   - Cleaning supplies will be made available for the group to wipe down surfaces before and after the meeting. Hand Sanitizer will be made available in Lange hall.
   - No food or drink is allowed to be shared with other group members. (You may bring your own bottled water, but please cover your face with your mask whenever you are not drinking).

Note: It is still the protocol at this time that a majority of meetings and gatherings of the Saint Andrew community will be connected via Zoom. We continue to move in a direction adhering to an abundance of care and concern for each other and our neighbor.

Please stay home if any one of these apply:

·         You or anyone in your family is running a fever with a temperature of 100.4 or more;
·         You are experiencing any symptoms such as: headache, runny nose, cough, sore throat, diarrhea/vomiting, loss of taste or smell, shortness of breath, and/ or body aches;
·         Anyone in your home is sick;
·         You have been exposed to the Corona virus in the last 14 days and have not had a test confirming that you are not carrying the virus.
